Fuad Alshabhi, lead vocalist of local popular rock band Kyoto Protocol, joined by Mentor first runner-up Aina Abdul and 10 other notable singer-songwriters in Malaysia race the clock to write songs for a noble cause.
Titled And The Curtain Rises, the satellite event is part of this year’s Yayasan Sime Darby Arts Festival (YSDAF), which features the theme of You, Me + The Arts.
A dozen singer-songwriters paired up to write 12 brand new songs in 12 hours on issues affecting the society that they feel and care about in this singer-songwriter camp.
Aina Abdul was joined by Otam on BFM radio to share their perspective and insight of the show will ultimately culminate in a performance.
You can listen to the podcast, “Speed-Songwriting” on the BFM website here.
Collaborating with Nick Davis as well as Fuad, Aina Abdul wrote songs that inspired and touched the audiences.
